I'm really loving the Trunks and Chests Store right now. I would buy so many of these if I could. I'm posting three of my favorites. Also, is this adorable vintage fruitcake tin from Etsy shop Fifth Quadrant Art.

I've always had a fixation with these old keys. When I was six, I found a couple in an old toolshed and kept them in a treasure box (where they still are today). Then in high school I had some strange fixation with drawing skeleton key tattoos on my ankles. Pottery Barn has this adorable set of keys that I think would look stellar hanging on a wall of treasure maps. I even found a shop on Etsy that is selling this great skeleton key hanger. At yet another Etsy shop, you can buy your own skeleton key ring.
A few more lovelies from Potterybarn. I think the shadowbox could be customized by adding your own photo. Potterybarn will even add a one letter monogram. The pillows are too cute!

More Etsy fun. Shadowbox from natural home. Crocheted pillow from Sandy's Cape Cod. Pillow covers from Pillowhappy.

Pottery Barn Kids has managed to pull off a pirate room that is both kid-friendly without being overtly cheesy. It has, however, managed to be expensive.

What room would be complete without a treasure map? These are from an Etsy shop from Alison Murray Whittington called The Interimaginational Institute for Fantastical Exploration and Cartography.

A collection of objects and inspiration based on the pirate life. I love the genre and all the accoutrements of this era, from sailing ships and mermaids to ship's wheels and treasure maps (though the scull and crossbones is overdoing it a bit).
